My SBRs are some of the best money I have spent in my firearms collection. It was well worth the wait.
I waited until double-stamp units were feasible - being able to run a suppressed SBR is extremely attractive to me, especially if I can move that can over to a longer rifle as needed.
It's worth it to me, for one main reason, the "cool" factor. I really have no honest need for an SBR. I'm not .mil or LEO, I already have a 16" AR and my main purpose for my AR's is plinking and SHTF. As you see, I don't really need one. Nevertheless, after handling one in the gun store a few months ago, I knew I would have to have eventually. I also like the fact that I will be able to run a can on it eventually and still have a short setup.
In the end you have to decide what's right for you. In my opinion, that $200 buys you a whole lot a cool.
