OK, so I am new to AR's and the forum, but is the only change a 'pencil' barrel? That's all my untrained eye can see.
barrel is milled off forward of the front sight, right behind the front sight some material was taken off. While it is only 5 oz, its 5oz that was at the end of the barrel, shifting the center of balance of the upper much more towards the user. So it feels a lot less heavier
Here's hoping more BCM uppers come back in stock, or else I'm going to have to start exploring the fun world of putting uppers together.
Could the slimmed front barrel introduce heating/accuracy issues after repeated firing?
on a semi automatic, doubt it. It took a while to burn out a govt profile on repeated automatic fire
Weren't the M16A1 barrels pencil profile? Those seemed to hold up pretty well.
