I don't know much about the bench rests mentioned, but I do use a UBR, and I think it would do an adequate job of simulating an A2 stock.

For lighter weight than a front bench rest, I use a front and rear bag rest. Similar to a sandbag but not as heavy, they have a "V" or "U" notch in the front for the rifle and a rear bag rest for the stock.
I haven't had any problems getting my collapsible stock in the rear bag, but I do use 20 rd mags for this type shooting.
The down side is they are not adjustable for elevation, but that hasn't been an issue for me.
