Your opinion please, DD or LMT.
I am new to this site, please bear with me. I am active duty and currently carry the Colt manufactured M4A1. I have decided that I would like to purchase a M4 for my own personal use. I reviewed the M4 comparison chart on this website and it proved helpful in understanding the firearms. I am torn between 2 and neither of them are on the chart. Being a resident of California, and our screwed up gun laws, it makes buying what I would like (what I train with that protects my life and others) not an option for me.
My choices are as follows:
Daniel Defense M4V3 priced at $1,179.00 OR
Lewis Machine and Tool CQB Defender 16 Piston priced at $1,795.00
I understand the benefit of piston being cleaner and more reliable. I intend on using this firearm for target/range shooting, tactical scenario training, home protection, and the occasional sporting. May actually shoot this thing 2 times a month. The chart lists the DDM4 as having more "desirable" features than the LMT (I understand the one listed on the chart isn't the piston).
For the price that I have found the weapons for and my intended purpose of use, which of these in your professional opinions are a "better buy?"
I thank you in advance for your time and your opinions.
