Since this thread keeps getting bumped back to the top anyways I just want to say I only said what I did because this isn't TOS, and when people come here for opinions and information its not fair to them to be getting incorrect info from fanbois who are just trying to prop up their particular brand/product when their "facts" are not rooted in reality. I personally do not want to see threads go to shit anymore than the next person but I thought it was needed in this case as the thread was already shit before I even posted, and people need correct info to make an informed purchase. You can go to TOS, and ask a question where the majority of the people will be giving their opinions to purchase something just because its what their own, and not because the opinion they are giving is a factual one that helps the OP make the best decision. There are more AR owners, and AR companies in the US right now which leads to people joining "sides" with one brand or another. 10-20 years ago you had a few basic choices so brand loyalty was not much of an issue, and few people were on the internet like they are now. I don't care if someone has a favorite brand (I have mine, too) but info needs to kept honest especially when they are giving advice to a new shooter. Thats what I believe the site is here for (in part)...not a 'my brand is better than your brand' playground exercise like TOS where it takes 2-3 pages to finally get an honest/correct answer half the time while the rest is filled with noise/garbage, incorrect info, childish rantings, etc.
Thanks!

Leave it, you're already the bigger man.
This Trident guy belongs on TOS, or in pic threads. Pretty pictures, no info or value. :cray:
The smart ones here know that you know what you are talking about.
Let's just leave it at that.
Lewis Machine and Tool.
If it were me I would go the DD route. The only reason being is that I've heard reports of the Gas Piston setups causing a lot of extra wear to the upper receiver, as well as the bolt/carrier assy.
DD or LMT?
Yes.
