I have not heard back yet from LMT. I just got home so I have not had a chance to check out the bolt face. I probably will not be able to get to it until tomorrow.

I am not certain if you meant "your old bolt" literally, but from what he posted it is an LMT bolt. He posted that LMT already replaced the bolt once because the ejector was too long. I agree it will not hinder function, but I do think LMT should know about it and have the opportunity to correct the problem.
I took a few quick pictures before I left for work. I am not sure exactly what I am looking for. What would peening look like?

Upper is going back to LMT. Gene said he is probably going to put a new barrel in it. A+ for Customer Service
Im still blown away that some one actually took good close up pictures of some damage! Nice work...;)
