The Troy CQB upper shoots tight. I've done one carbine class with it (600rds) . But....it took a while to zero.
I initally zeroed and after 2 ten round groups, ended with a 3" group in the 10 ring of a 25m NRA pistol tratget from 100 yds. Good to go..I thought. Next group was, and I'm not kidding, one foot low on the target. The group was still tight as hell, maybe 3.5".
So, I go into diagnostic mode. First, I quickly check tightness of my optic. Since I was running the new EXPS with it's built in mount, I assume that's the issue. Nope, tight. So naturally, it must be me. Shoot another 10 rd group, same place- one foot low but tight. Next, I check ammo, GTG-military grade good stuff.
So at this point I suspect barrel break in. It took approx. 60-75 rounds before it would hit in the same place. After that though, tack driver. Weird. This was common with our bolt guns in the Teams, but I've never experienced that with a carbine. Hope this helps.
