Mr. Christensen, I remember seeing the 1911 you built for him on an television episode of "Handguns."
Beautiful pistol, just beautiful.

for the price, the book is a steal.
I really enjoyed the sections on the development of the 1911, the trials, WWI & WWII.
I have his 2 gun digest 1911 books and enjoyed those as well. This book was a step up from those.
My one and only complaint is that the custom 1911 gunsmith sections (past and present) are too short and light. However, I understand that a line has to be drawn somewhere. Hopefully he can write his next book exclusively about the custom 1911 and the smiths that work (and have worked) on them.
I plan to order his 45 acp book soon.
Got mine! Nice book with lots of info - definitely worth the 18 bucks!
