Thanks for all the replies guys. Glad to know I can always count on this site when I run into trouble. I think I'm gonna give freezing it a go (after I can buy some more nail sets).
Gotm4, what sort of damage should I be watching out for on the FSB. I've definitely put a ding or two in it, but figured it was cosmetic.
At least this makes me feel all warm and fuzzy about the durability of my BCM FSP.
while i'm sure BCM taper pins are good quality, usually the harder to remove pins are of softer stock. but any pins can be tough to get out.... the toughest pins i ever had to remove were installed by myself- after i figured out a new technique for install.
i made a "note to self" on that day: "when figuring out new techniques for better fastening, subsequently figure out new techniques for removal as well."

Thanks. I have used a commercial auto store spray for freezing-shrinking in the distant past and was just wondering if there might be some new, improved way.
