I've had good luck finding Noveske parts and barrels at Rainier arms and DSG arms. You might take a look there.............
If you're going with a Noveske-built lo-pro upper, I'd suggest an ACS at the least. The MUR combined with the profile of the barrel and the long handguards make the upper slightly muzzle-heavy. I have a UBR on my upper and it balances perfectly.
If you're just going with a Noveske barrel in a custom upper, use whatever works best for you.
Depends on the weight of the DD handguard, in comparison to the SWS that comes on the Noveske railed upper.
Came to same conclusion as skyyr; ACS balances better than CTR. Running a Noveske built lo pro recce upper.

Rainier Arms sells Noveske stuff, stripped uppers/lowers and barrels included. However, I haven't seen the N4 barrel listed. I asume the difference between the N4 and something like the Afgan 16.1 is the profile?

The Afghan is 14.5" and is a stainless steel barrel.
The N4 barrels are cold hammer forged & chrome lined and are generally a lighter profile than a comparable length SS barrel from Noveske, hence the N4 "light" designation. N4 barrels are not available as a standalone product from anyone, except for the 10.5" length. (Wes, you already know this, just pointing it out to clarify for others) The N4 barrels can only be had as a complete upper from Noveske or as a complete custom build from an authorized dealer.
I don't know if I would call the N4 recce a lightweight, but it does balance nicely and I much prefer the profile over a standard govt. profile. I think it would be considered a midweight, especially considering the weight difference between it and something like the BCM or Colt lightweights.
Out of curiosity, I checked the Centurion website for a comparison and they list the 16.1" "lightweight" CHF barrels at 1 lb 9.9 oz. (stripped).
ETA: Purely from a balance standpoint, I might lean towards the lighter Centurion barrel as it seems that they are comparable to the N4's in every other way.
