Bolt Carrier Group stuck - help please
Apologies if this is a stupid/noob question or addressed elsewhere, couldn't find anything w/ the search feature.
I was shooting my DDM4 today, and midway through the second mag I had a fail to fire. Didn't think much of it, tried the charging handle to find it was stuck. Removed the mag and ... charging handle and BCG still stuck, with the carrier in the forward position. Removed the lower, and still can't get the BCG to budge.
I'm 99% sure the last live rd in the chamber fired w/ only the brass remaining, but how do I know for sure that I don't have a live round in there? I'm a little apprehensive to start whacking on a cleaning rod in the bore unless I'm absolutely sure there isn't a live round in the chamber vs. just the empty brass of my last fired round.
The gun itself has been flawless until now. Had it for about a year w/ between 1000-1500 rounds through it. Normally keep it clean and well lubed, today it was a bit more dirty and dry than usual as I didn't clean it after my last trip to the range when I only put about a mag or two through it.
