What is the difference between this one and the MB556K, to where you can use it on a shorter bbl? Does the original overlap the barrel or something?

I was trying to figure that out too, it is the spacer at the rear that the MB556K doesn't have.

So it's safe to say that one could run a K can on an 11.5 in upper with 11.0in Larue rail if using this adapter? If so my dreams just came true..
I am running the subject muzzle break on my SCAR 16s CQC while waiting on the Form 4 to clear on my FA556-212 suppressor. It is amazing how well the SF muzzle brake mitigates the muzzle rise/flip. Prior to this I had an AAC blackout 51T mounted and the difference is noticeable. Please note that the concusion is pretty significant with the Surefire break.
