Spacer slop on fixed stock
I'm in the process of mounting a Sully Stock on my carbine. I will be installing a Troy A4 type single point sling mount at the base of the stock. When I put it all together, it looks like the spacer that came with the sling mount (to be sandwiched between the end of the buffer tube and the inside of the butt of the stock) will be approx. 0.07 inch short, i.e. the thickness of the Troy mount is 0.26 inch, while the spacer is 0.19 inch. Since the inside of the stock is a black box when it's all put together, should I assume that once everything's tightened, it's all flush? I'm concerned that when firing, if there is some play, the buttstock screw will be taking alot of the tension/compression of the cycling. Or am I just being too much of a German with undiagnosed OCD? I mean, this is Troy - they know what they're doing.
Edited to add that Mr. Sullivan said that the SUlly Stock is designed to take A2/A4 type single point mounts.
