Thanks for the input !!! I did pretty much the same as the OP,,,in trying this New Grip out,,I had a Order into AIM for my Battle Comp & figured what the hey,,for $20 bucks I'll try the Troy Grip !! :) I too had a hell of a time getting that little bugger onto my Lower,,but after a few smacks and taps I got it where it needed to be,,I guess tight is good right !!! ;) I have decent size hands myself and yea that baby is kinda small,,,:BUT" what I found was that it really gets your had up on the rifle and that is good I believe !! What I also found out is that my hand is so far up I can easily flick my Safety off with my thumb,,not that I couldn't before,,,but I am that much closer to it,,,it is really much easier & precise & you don't have to change your grip at all to do this.
Now on the flip side,,sometimes I would use my "Right" Index finger to flip my Ambi Safety off (BAD ASS) but now with my had so far up onto the rifle,,it is harder to do this,,I still can use the Ambi Safety,,but with this grip I now have to Move my hand/change grip to do this,,is that good or bad,,,I guess you make the call on that !!! Guys were flipping the safety off for years with there thumb,,long before the BAD or any Ambi Safety showed up and it was all good !! The Ambi is still a great feature & I will still utilize it,,but under different circumstance when I have this grip installed. I will keep mine on for awhile also & see if I end up really liking it,,or if I change it out to something different,,time will tell I guess !
Thanks to the OP for getting the Review going !! :D
