Me to bro.
I oil up the pin and the receiver holes with Militec. Start the pin with a roll pin holder and use the correct sized roll pin punch to drive in whatever pin I happen to be using. Triggerguard, bolt catch etc.

Greetings to everyone here at M4Carbine.net I have been looking around for awhile until my account was actived. This is my first post. I just assembled my first AR-15 lower about two weeks ago. Too me the bolt catch pin was the hardest thing to do. I was going to try the taped method but I did not the proper type of thick tape. Ya'll are not going to beleive what I used. I used a real hard peice of wood called Osage to get the pin in. I hit the peice of Osage with a hammer to drive the pin in. I tried the same thing with a wood dowel but the dowel was to soft of wood. The Osage is a very dense wood. When the pin was almost drove in I finished it off with punch. I had the lower taped up the best I could as well. If i plan on doing it again I will get the right tools for the job for sure. I do p;an on building a few more. The cost savings on building one your self is awesome. I am sure with the rights toold the assemble of the AR lowers would be a breeze. Talk to ya'll later, Mike
