I like the LPK from G & R Tactical. Grant (C4Grant on this forum) puts together his kits from various manufacturers including LMT, BCM, and Magpul. Also, you can order without the FCG (fire control Group) if you want to add one of those fancy 2-stage triggers.
Re: LPKs
Spend a little bit of extra money and get one of Grant's kits from G&R Tactical.
If for some reason you are absolutely opposed to doing that, then a Daniel Defense, Stag/CMT, or Spike's (the Enhanced LPK... don't bother with the standard - it's DPMS) will serve you well.
I looked at the g&r lpk's and I have a question as of why doesn't it include the the FCG? I am disabled and on a limited budget but want to insure I build something that will last and be reliable. I am use to the standard pull and really don't want a two stage trigger. I understand they are less reliable on many accounts and may need to defend the fam due to my geographic location. I live near two(as the crow flies) very large low income projects and fear the masses may come. This is why I am trying to outfit the household with mbr's. I also don't want to skimp and pay for it in the end. I used dpms before and really don't like their lpk's. what is the difference in the g&r and the DD lpk's? I read their site but haven't found the facts. All claim to be the best, I wish there was a chart like for the rifles.
Options 3 and 4 on the G&R website both include the FCG. The trigger is single-stage and mil-spec.
DPMS is garbage. I would stay away from them.
DD's LPK is a good kit. G&R's kit, though, is a work of art in that Grant hand picks and individually sources each part that goes into it to ensure that it has quality components.
