I'm the new guy, and I have a question that I'd like some help with.
Here's some background: I am a firm believer in the "chart", but I learned about it in a different manner. I wish I would have had the chart so that I could have learned a lot easier. I purchased a Colt 6920 for my main rifle, and I could not be happier with it after a few years. I built a rifle for my wife out of a DPMS complete factory lower and an LMT factory upper/bcg. For some reason I wasn't concerned about using a lower tier for the lower receiver. I had basically convinced myself that it was not necessary. Now after stumbling across the chart I realized that my wife's gun has some short comings. For one the castle nut staking is a total joke, and for two it has a standard carbine buffer instead of the "H" buffer.
So, my question is, should I try and "fix" my wife's lower by staking the castle nut, replacing the buffer, and whatever else it should have done to it (feel free to chime in with other issues). Or should I sell her lower complete, and order a BCM complete lower. I think I could get almost enough money out of her complete lower to pay for a factory blem BCM lower, and we don't care about the "blem" thing.
Thanks so much for the help, and this site.
