Colt 2011 catalog SP6920
In the new 2011 civilian Colt catalog on page 35 under the listing, "Re-birth of a classic" are listed and shown two rifles. One is a m4 carbine with bayo. lug and flash hider. The other is the same but instead of carry handle, full rail top with flip up sites. These two rifles are listed separate from the other AR type rifles on the other pages. I am wondering if these are the same rifles that have always had "For Law enforcement or Government sales only" stamped on them and Colt is now offering them to the consumer market. Did anyone find out about this at the Shot Show?

Yeah, its pretty much the LE6920 without the LE/Gov markings. They resurrected the old Sporter name.

Unless I'm not understanding what you're saying, you could always purchase Colt rifles with the 'Military/Government Law Enforcement/Export Use Only' stamp on them.

Could you please provide a link to the catalog.
I googled around but was unable to find it.

Call me a hater but it looks like more of the same old stuff in the Colt AR15 offerings. I appreciate the quality that Colt puts out but it's not my cup of tea.

Take a colt 6400 lower minus ban compliant stock and pair it with a 6920 or 6940 upper.

I realize that no one has probably seen one yet, but would it be safe to say that these rifles should pass the chart specs. as well as the LE6920 ?
