I couldn't possibly disagree more with not putting taller sights on. I "can" sight through the can on guns but for better accuracy and sight picture. There's no comparison between the factory sights I had on the HK45 and the taller Heinie's that are on there now. Distance shooting is also greatly enhanced with the sight over system as opposed to the sight through.
Besides HK has produced both the USP45CT and the HK45CT with taller sights as opposed to their standard non "T" model offerings, so why wouldn't a user owned pistol benefit from the same modifications?
If all you do is "point shoot" as opposed to sighted fire like titleist then I suppose it's not a big deal. And in any event you had to learn the impact zero with whatever sights came on the gun in the first place. To me it's no different than that.
