As said above they come with a P-mag and I have nothing but P-mags for my S&W M&P. I have 1 30rd and 5 20rd P-Mags and all of them work great!

Hi! New here.....great forum!
I have a S&W M&P15T. Bought it in '08, it came with a metal mag. I went with Magpuls after I bought the rifle. They have worked flawless. All 30 of them....
The DDM4V1 I just purchased has problems with PMAGs. They don't drop free. The USGI mags fall free easily and don't wiggle too much when they're in there. They feed reliably, but then again, the only thing stock about them is the frame/body. :D
I bought a stripped M&P lower and Iraggunz assembled it with a Dan Defense Lower parts kit and we tested PMAGS with no issue.
Many thanks to Iraqgunz for doing another day of Perfect Gunsmithing on several lowers and one upper. Perfect work and made it look easy.
I was at the range this past weekend and someone near me was complaining that his new pmag was swelling. Unfortunately, I had forgotten about this thread or I would have checked if he was shooting an S&W.
Have owned a MP15 now for a couple of years with probably 3,000 plus rounds through it using 20 and 30 rd PMags without a single issue. All drop free.

No problem with Pmags in my S&W. As a matter of fact there's no problem with any mags or ammo in this weapon.
My agency bought about 30 or so of the M&P rifles when they first came out. We recently (This January) transitioned our magazines to PMAGs (the revised versions). No issues with the new design PMAGs and our guns.
