Thanks brother...It is tedious using the woodburning gun to make the small stipple marks,,,however, the buzz associated w. the melted plastic fumes makes it all worth in the end:D
So right when I DIY a tapeswitch, I found a SR07 for $55....and it's much tougher to activate then one that comes w. the UE07 or the one above that I modded. This is prob. a good thing but will take some getting used to. I wouldn't have gotten it so soon at least if it weren't for the constant on/off button. Overall it's certainly built and designed in the typical superb surefire manner, the price tags just make you want to vomit every time but the quality is easily indisputable.
I think I am 125% done after 6weeks of getting this weaponlight refined for my tastes, but I am GTG now I think:)

really like the stippling job you did on your KAC covers, do you think you could post a few pictures of how you did it? The pattern you followed, what kind of wood burning tip you used, things of that nature.

Very nice solution Alex. I agree with everyone here that the SR07 is horrendously overpriced, but like you, I recently found one for a good price. I also have a Scout M600C on backorder (from a reputable company) that I managed to find at the last minute before the huge price hike. It'll still be a couple of weeks before I receive it, but the overall cost of the light, mount, and switch made it worth the wait.
Can you PM me with where you are buying the SR07 for $55? Even with my discount, I am paying in the seventies...
