If you are one of those Chap who would kiss, talk, and babied your AR for resale value then buy Colt, but if you intend to shoot your AR hard then BCM bar none!

The Spikes stripped lower is fine. But what LPK and receiver extension does this complete lower have? Got a feeling at $250 they may have used DPMS... I'd think about the BCM blem instead.
And would go with the BCM midlength upper over Colt for the reasons already listed. Nothing wrong with Colt but I'd want a middy and you really can't beat BCM or DD.
I would go with Colt. It has a proven track record and you know their rifles will hold up under the most rigorous of conditions.
Of the two (2) mentioned, Colt for me. My very first AR rifle was from said company.Quote:

Since $1100 for a LE6920 is about as cheap as they will ever be. I figured if I needed/wanted to sell it, a Colt would be much easier to sell to the average Joe than a top notch Frankengun.
Now that I have the Colt I plan to build any other ARs I would get...unless Colt starts making midlength gas systems and offering variety like BCM etc.
I don't often drink beer but when I do.......... ohhhh wait I mean I don't often buy ARs but when I do I get a BCM upper and slap it on my Bushmaster lower.
Why I went BCM is because Colt don't make the gun I wanted.
This is almost the exact same rifle I'm currently building. However, I went with the standard BCM BCG, and a Noveske N4 factory seconds stripped lower. I'll probably pick up the LPK from G&R combined with their Magpul CTR kit. The complete lower will cost me about $405. Not bad considering the quality of components and the CTR stock. So yeah, my point is that I would go with the BCM build.
Wow, I just realized that this was my first post. Been just lurking for too long apparently!
