The longer 308 would fit a 5.56 and still be shorter than a PRS. For prone I'm usually pulling mine back one click. Either way a great deal at $179, I just paid $215 at Proven Arms 20% off sale.

Me too. Not that I believe you’re implying, but just to be clear, that is the specimen in this video of the 13.5” 1100 yard shot:

Such a sick set up.
5/16 inch gap at castle nut, 9 5/8 total length from back of cattle nut 308 stock on 556 tube.Quote:
Does the 7.62 version lock in on the first hole on a 5.56 buffer tube or just rest up against castle nut in-between the 1st and 2nd?
It was really hard finding any info about the 7.62 on a 5.56 length tube.

I have both and can answer some dimension questions.
I remember watching that video on YouTube and thinking to myself it was the most beautifully setup MWS I've ever seen.
I was initially concerned with the Gen 3 PRS length being a little long with no way to shorten it, but I found that I actually needed/preferred a longer LOP (about 12"), which works out very well for me considering how I employ the rifle. When mated to a Law folder, the 7.62 DMR achieves the same result, but with the added capability of being able to fold down if there is a desire to transport or store it in a case with a smaller visual footprint.
