Dylan Fletcher Pocket Kilo

Neck knife is a small, lightweight knife made to wear as a necklace (with sheath ofcourse) when one can't wear a knife on belt. Pocket is another option. Generally these knives are for self defense or hiking but can be for utility when having a knife seen on the hip or with a pocket clip is not acceptable.
The green handled Necker is a great knife, takes a wicked edge quickly and has a hamon line as all his 1095 blades do too. 1095 is his favorite but he makes knives in stainless very often (CPM154, S30V).
For a slightly larger knife that is the same basic shape as the Necker, I'd look at the MUK which has a taller blade from spine to edge and thicker handle. It comes with a TEKLOK for belt carry.

A little larger still is the Large MUK (Want this bad) whose handle is slightly longer as is the blade but it's still a compact for EDC. The yellow handled one in this pic link. The ones to it's left are a comparison and are the regular MUK and Necker...

Great feedback pal, thanks much! I love my Microtech and it's certainly the knife I grew up always wanting, however its just to damn nice to use as a true EDC. It's the sharpest blade Ive owned, and I fully trust the OTF mechanism, I just hate to turn that beauty into a well worn friend. Hint's why I recently started that KAC Strider thread, and now picking your brain:)

I cannot see the linked pics due to a Login screen...that's great that Mcneese lives in Northport. That's 35-40min. from me. Does he have any kinda of storefront or business location that you know of. I would have a much better shot at getting the knife for my needs and wants if I had a face to face opportunity with the maker and then all his various knife options. Great call on that, I'd love to support a local..esp. one who was just absolutely crushed by that F5 tornado with actual Sideways tornado's...so, so rare. Only a handful of epic tornado's have ever spawned those sideways vortices and the Scientific community has not even come up with a accepted term..hints the lame non scientific name. At any rate, I will check into that and as always thanks for sharing your wealth of blade knowledge with me.

Dylan's knives show the influence of his apprenticeship without being unimaginative copies of his mentor's work. I'm an admirer of Andy Roy and Fiddleback Forge, fortunate to own a custom Bushcrafter.

Very nice NewYork! Angled belt carry is probably the way to roll... Kyle Defoor is doing some classes that are incorporating blade work that you might want to check out...

Not completely but definitely angled for fast access. I will see if I can find some pics. I am not really a big blade guy personally due to my lack of training with them but there is a pretty big following for them on my site. I will look over there for some pics for you to give you an idea of what I am talking about.
