ETA: Found it in both CM102 JAN80 and 2nd Ed. 1991.
One thing that hasn't changed in all those years, use new cap screws with the key and fire several rounds of ammunition and then retighten.
Ok I am new here but if it is so important to have the key properly staked why not make a new bolt carrier and gas key are made from the same stock material. One piece could not come loose.
sounds like a new product idea to me
It's easier to make it in two parts given the number of complex cuts and keys are susceptible to damage that necessitates their replacement.
