Ok so I know that there is no such thing as a stupid question just stupid people right!
So I finally made my first AR build and I am in love with the gun! SBR 7.5". Why I think it looks cool and its fun to shoot! I decided to go with the free float set up and hand guard just because of the many more options.
After taking her out for the first time, and then getting home to clean her. I noticed that there was some play in the barrel. If I stand the weapon upright (butt on the floor) and grab the flash hider. I can physically move the barrel up and down maybe a little less then an 1/8".
Now I kinda did my own research and learned that free float meant what I thought. That the barrel is free floating and moves with the bolt of the gun (kinda sums it up to my its 4am and I am tired definition.)
I just want to make sure that I am right in understanding this. With the free float set up, the barrel will move slightly. As long as there is not a LOT of play in it I will be fine and I dont have to get the barrel wrench out?
Please be easy on me I just want to know to calm my nerves and I stop searching the net!
And just for effect and to show off a little more because I am still madly in love with her!http://i1083.photobucket.com/albums/...y/a998d82f.jpg
Shes on the bottom obviously with the first store bought AR on the top!
