What Chris put into words pretty much sums up the awesomeness of that pic!
Shame though you're not that pretty in person :p

I personally don't think they are necessary or care for them with 10.5" and up barrels. Just my 2 cents.
Just for size reference on a 10.5" factory built Noveske. Much, much, much quieter with the Pig!

I ran one of these on my Larue Stealth 12" for a couple months, but never on anything longer than that. I only removed it once my suppressor came in. The flaming pig picture on the side is no joke. It's heavy and directs all the blast straight foward. I'd think on anything longer than 14" it would feel strange with the added weight in the front.
I'm using a PWS CQB Comp on a 10.5 upper, and compared to a Pig it'll probably serve better IF that's what you're going for. It redirects the sound but ALSO reduces the flash and provides a little compensation. The Pig will redirect the sound, but that's about it. If you have concerns with dwell time, the PWS essentially has a second chamber, so it'll increase your dwell time more than a Pig would anyway.
Beat me to it!
That awesome pic would be right at home on the cover of Heavy Metal, too!
No experience with the pig but I've read the Levang has a similar function in a smaller, lighter and cheaper package. May be a good place to start experimenting with the concept before plunking down big money for the pig.
Now I kinda want a camel.
OT: I had a pig once. Sold it for a 5 dollar loss since I had never fired it. I won't ever buy another one.
