I had 3 brand new BCM bcg's that i just sent out for Ionbond coating. The cost was $65 each without shipping and took about about 6 weeks.
I have not used them yet. This might be an option for you

Ok, bit of a thread drift but I didn't find it with a search and this thread seems as good a place as any. How thick are these NiB or Ionbond coatings and when applied to a bolt are the thick enough to affect headspace making go/no-go gauges a must?
You can buy an ARPERFORMANCE nickel boron carrier for $100-.It's the same carrier and coating as FZ.
PWS makes a nice DI carrier that has a slick finish.
Just curious, does anyone really see a flaw with the standard phosphated bolt group? I personally do not. I have run multiple suppressed uppers and have rum them hard in fullauto with the only maintenance being a wipe down with paper towels and application of lube (LaRue machine gunners lube). I just don't find any shortcomings with the standard finish, as it wipes down for cleaning in this manner very easily.
So my question is this - has anyone truly had a failure with the standard bolt group that warrants the added expense of these "exotic" finishes such as ionbond, NiB, etc?
I have a Spike's NiB BCG, and I have found no advantage with it over a regular BCG. and after several thousand rounds, it isn't as pretty anymore, even with Quib's mineral spirit wonder bath and some hard scrubbing. I will never waste money on it again.
I have IonBond and standard carriers and while a standard carrier will smooth out eventually, the IonBond carriers are smooth from day one. The standard carriers sometimes get the phospahate worn off the bottom where it rides in the upper reciever. The Ionbond doesn't wear out as far as I've seen. It definately isn't a have to have, I just like it.
I can't point to anything in as far as performance, except it just slides smoother, like butter. You'd better sound off that you like butter!
