All 6920MP's have the same roll mark and so all of ours have this roll mark.

Any word on a pinned 6921?
Quite frankly, the rolls marks are a mute issue with the expiration of the "Ban".
I prefer the LE/M/E marks. I recently sold 13 LE6920's with "Last 100" letters.
Yes, an uninformed LEO might give you the third degree over LE6920 roll marks, but, nothing would come of the event.
I would submit, the new line is the result of LtGen Keys (CEO until 2010) hard work finally convincing the State of Connecticut (a principal owner in Colt) to agree to marketing a quasi-military firearm that isn't bastardized. I state quasi because Colt commercial lower receiver offerings do not permit the installation of the FA components.
While the new offerings are nice, I will take the yesterday approach.
No.
Sorry if my post led to your confusion.
In 2002, Colt created the subsidiary Colt Defense (CD). Colt Defense was tasked with concentrating on military, law enforcement and export sales. The M4 Carbine from CD, depending on model, came in 3 configurations of fire, full auto, 3 round burst and semi auto only. The LE6920 was a semi-auto only product produced by CD.
During the "Ban", LE6920s produced during the "Ban" could not be legally purchased by private citizens. When the "Ban" sunset, the LE6920 became one of Colt's top selling products to commercial distributors. CD attempted to persuade commercial distributors to sell the LE6920 only to LE agencies. However, since there was no restriction to private ownership after the "Ban" expired, many distributors sold to dealers since this carbine represented an excellent source of revenue.
The LE6920 lower receiver had material in the lower receiver which would prevent the installation of FA parts. The new SP6920, produced by Colt Manufacturing, retains this same feature.
Note, Colt Defense now describes its customers as military only. The LE6920 has been discontinued. Colt Defense now markets the R0920 which is a SA/Burst carbine. Not legal for private citizen ownership or possession.
Colt Manufacturing is tasked with producing product for commercial sales and and ultimately to private citizens.
Colt Manufacturing now markets the SP6920.
Some manufacturer's, ie., LMT, sell a lower that can be converted to FA. Such a conversion would be illegal and the user subject to prosecution for not only possessing a FA weapon, but, also for possessing certain FA parts to assemble a FA weapon (manufactured after 1987).
Note, that ownership of a lower receiver manufactured after 1987 which can accept FA parts is not a violation. However, possession of some FA parts, ie., auto sear manufactured after 1987 is a violation.
So back to your question, I would not interpret roll marks in general as to whether the lower can be converted to/or accept FA parts. I would conclude such is a function of the manufacturer and the model number.
I hope that clarifies things about the 6920 and its roll marks.
Just got my new Magpul SP 6920.(thanks again for the fast shipping Grant)
Looky looky what I found on the ejection port side of the lower. It wasn't on my either of my LE 6920's or my 6520.
Yup I think Colt is listening....
