I have actual hands on experience with PSA rifles and can say that they are a good buy if you don't have the extra cash to spend. I have built 5 rifles using their kits and never had an issue. I know many people who own their rifles and actually shoot them and they are happy and problem free.
The parts all seem to be of high quality and comparable to my other high quality parts from BCM, LMT, Colt, Spikes. They are hard to beat at their price point.
Yes they have had a few issues to include (3) out of 3,000 uppers which made it out the factory with incorrect gas tubes, however those issues were quickly corrected.
There have also been reports of misaligned feedramps, however I have yet to see any that were so misaligned as to make any difference in function.
Some have expressed frustration with getting CS on the phone, however you have to keep in mind that they are a small shop. Maybe they should remove their phone from the options of contacting them and push people to use email like some other companies do.
Bottom line is if you can afford to spend $1k, get the Colt. If you can't, get the PSA.
