I had a picture of the barrel threads, but it was too dark. That said there wasn't and wear on the threads if that makes any difference.

Is this a 16" barrel of a 6520? Or is it a 14.5"?
The FSB holes don't look that mangled at all.
I would put a new barrel nut on it if you think you really need to use this barrel and drive the pins in.
Otherwise I would get a new 6520 barrel which should have been done in the first place as these barrels/uppers are readily available.
It's a 16" barrel and it already has a new barrel nut. All I'm using this barrel for is to make a sort of clone of a colt 652, so it's not a serious use rifle. And yeah I'd agree that if this was meant to be a rifle that I was going to use for anything serious, I would have went with a 6520 in the first place.
