I broke my original one and upgraded to a mod 4. It was well worth the money IMHO. It's feels way more solid... Plus, I like to "charge" with one finger on the left side instead of two fingers on both sides of the charging handle.

There's no torque on the chargin handle when charging it one handed. The latch stays slightly angled forward so it catches your hand with almost no chance of slipping off even under less than ideal conditions.
I used regular latches for years as well as the Gas Buster. I've never slipped off of those either, but they torqued quite a bit.
Thats what happened to mine. The roll pin snapped.
I first got the Gunfighter cause I liked the latch, I read up on it afterwards.
Its the only one Ill use now.
In the sitting or prone position, "Palming" it is a breeze.
Anyone pinched the shit out of their hand with it? Lol

I have the mod 4. My first impression was that it is how the AR CH should have been designed originally. The original design feels awkward now when I pick up another rifle.
I've never used one until I got a KAC SR15 in a trade. The original owner added the MOD 4 Gunfighter to it.
Running the gun with that latch seemed natural. There was no slip. Positive function and I never missed a grab.
To me, the Gunfighter charging handle is what the charging handle SHOULD HAVE BEEN in the beginning.
I also feel that the MOD 4 gives just enough real estate to get a full grip without risking snagging on your kit (If you use kit). I've recently had the chance to run the MOD 3&5. I felt the 3 was too small and the 5 (While giving more positive real estate) was too large and liked to grab kit.
I have a question for the SBR guys:
For those of you that do use them on your SBRs, have you noticed any difference in regulating the gas coming back into your face?
Use one for 5 minutes and we won't need to "sell" ya.
Same here. It is ideal for that. Its lots quicker, and can be done easily when the rifle is in the low ready position, or ready position.Quote:

Sturdy as a mutha too. :)
Because you can't buy unobtanium roll pins.
The PRI M84's are good charging handles, and the stock ones will get the job done - I wouldn't prioritize getting a GFCH over ammunition or training budget, but they simply are the best charging handle available, because of the slew of minor improvements listed above, and the price when factored into a complete fighting rifle is very good.
