HMAC describes them better. Just an updated design on them.

The BCM is the BOSS of Charging handles. Trust it, trust BCM, get one.
[QUOTE=Surf;1165292]IMO, a similar option to the PRI Combat Latch is what the Gunfighter should be offered with. I very much prefer the PRI Gasbuster Combat Latch much better. Pretty much most everyone that I know who owns the GF and has tried the Combat Latch wants one. I would think it would be a popular option?

This grip IMO

Is much better than this one.

I would think that right there would be one helluva seller for BCM if they could offer that as an option. I know I would buy one. Even without that option of the PRI latch I will be picking one up and try out the Gunfighter.
I had a few Gunfighter handles from when they first came out. Nice stout device, but I kept getting blood blisters on my left index finger. Bad design, but overall still a good handle made more useable by a little grinding to add a bevel to the lever. For me, that eliminated the pinch point and didn't compromise function or strength. When Noveske started selling them under their label, I bought one for an SBR build and noticed that VLTOR had added a little bevel on those newer, updated versions. It doesn't solve the problem, but it helps a lot.

Every time this pinching issue came up around here, it resulted in at least a few indignant posts about how it wasn't possible to pinch yourself on this new, magical gun accessory, but apparently VLTOR felt is was enough of a problem to do a little redesign.
The most frequent thing I use the charging handle for is to release the bolt on a speed reload. Especially the newer version, the pinching thing hasn't been an issue for me in that circumstance (hooking the handle with left index finger).
I've standardized on the small version (Mod 5) for new builds and when I need replacements - they are on three rifles now. I'm to the point where I wouldn't spend money on a standard CH any more, although I do keep one or two in the parts box. The GF design allows for a more positive grip and it's a much smoother stroke with no annoying wiggle.
While I don't use one since I've not had any issues with my stock charging handle- I liked the Mod. 4 when I tried it on a friend's rifle once.
I tried a rifle with a Mod. 3, too, and didn't like it as well because the latch dug into my chest too much when the rifle was slung across my front. It probably wouldn't be an issue with body armor or a chest rig, but keep in mind that for casual shooting a Mod. 4 or Mod. 5 is probably preferable.
For those interested, here is a bit more info on the Gunfighter Charging Handle but moreso, why I prefer the PRI Combat Latch and how I actually modify it to work with the GF handle itself.

I was wondering about these. Thanks for all the info!
