I can if I try at it, but I would have to use both arms and hold it real tight. I have never used a torque wrench either.
People actually use a torque wrench for their castle nuts? I always used my common sense and MK 1 MOD 0 arm.
For ****'s sake I was talking about the assembly process for the major components of an AR15 rifle. I'm not talking about mounting optics, aftermarket rails, or anything else. You're arguing about nothing.
I call people like you "sharpshooters" at my day job...trying to play on semantics and find little technicalities that distract from the conversation just to say "I was right." "Sharpshooters" generally don't keep their dignity for very long.
Torque, shmorque. Just sock the son of a bitch down good 'n tight. This works for me, most of the time.
Thats kinda what I was thinking. I will admit I put some torque on it(enough), then I get out a punch and hammer and give it two stakes and call it good. Built quite a few, put on quite a few more end plates of various makes and havent had one come apart yet that I know of, and trust me, my buddies WOULD let me know about it.
