I have it ($279) on my 6721 using the Burris AR-PEPR mount ($74). It has the point-blank reticule.. The Burris mount is slick as well..Ron

I have a M-223 that for the most part, has worked out pretty well. I don't put heavy use on it, but it worked great for 2 days in the rain at an Appleseed shoot. It held a good Zero, did not fog up, even being left out in the rain and mud. Now the flip up lense caps that come with it flat out suck, but for the $$, I would buy another...

I ditched the flip-ups as well. I use a Butler Creek Bikini cover. It suits my style of shooting for this rifle.. Cheers.. Ron

Good-
I think Nikon has really good glass for the money.
Bad-
I usually hate the reticles Nikon uses. Even when they do use a decent reticle, I usually do not like the turrets.

I really think there is the potential for them to be making really good, affordable gear, but for whatever reason, I don't think they "get it" most of the time.

I like the point-blank reticule and the turrets as well, however they are more suited to target/plinking (my intended use) than tactical use. Very easy to use with positive 1/4 MOA clicks.. Ron

That's what made me unsure about getting one for testing since the Nikon site recommends them for hunting.

You can see what I mean by looking at my pics. Nice big easy to use turrets and focus adjustment, but no lock-downs.. Not a problem for me, but I ain't clearing buildings.. That's really the only reason I said what I did about that.. Cheers.. Ron

If Nikon wanted to "get with the program", they could crank out something fantastic. I just don't think they're too interested in their sports optics division. Their pro SLR bodies and lenses show they've got the optics and ruggedness down. Those go through more abuse than a rifle scope and the optics are much more critical.
