If you run the micro stream with a 10440 600mAh battery you significantly increase the output. It will shorten the overall life of the LED engine but I've been using mine this way for a few years now.

From an absolutely huge surefire fan, really really loving the E05 - small, nice flood beam and great warm tint.

Still generally carry my Surefires when I leave the house. Love the newer E1L with e2dl tail.

How are you liking the new surefire? Really interested in this as a bomb proof edc work light. I ruin streamlights to easily, and my surefires get expensive to run all the time with the costs of 123's. A bomb proof AAA sounds awesome.

I like it.

First thing I noticed is how heavy it is. If you have a minimalist mindset then this light might not be for you.

Second thing I noticed was how hard it was to disconnect it from the plastic key chain piece.

It is amazing how much light this little light puts out. It will light up my entire backyard. I am no flashlight expert but it is more/all spill and not throw. It came with an Eneloop Pro. I have not had it long enough to comment on battery life.

ETA - the only thing I do not like on it is the pocket clip. They left all the edges sharp and the circular portion is not flush with the body/cap. It was doing real number on my cell phone case. I took it off and hit the round portion with a file and it is better.

I wish the end was flat so it could tail stand. I also wish it had some scalloping at the front so it could be put lens down and put some light out.
