Also never done business with them nor recall anybody I know doing business with them.

    caveat emptor
like i said in the other comment. we purchased from them on gunbroker a few times but the blemish stuff is just on the website. the item is coated from what they said on the phone just the part wasnt properly cerakoted or had a scratch on it.

Trying to make a backpack able AR.

Anyone know of or have a link to an AR 5.56mm magazine that does NOT extend past the bottom of a standard lower receiver magwell. This mag will probably only hold 10 rounds max.

I have an old Remington 10 round OEM mag from their discontinued bolt action 5.56mm that fed from AR mags, but the mag quality is horrendous.

Ruger SR-556/AR-556 10 round mag, catalog #90384, sticks out past the bottom of a standard AR lower about an inch.

Any suggestions? Mag can be metal or plastic, as long as mag is reliable.

Magpul 10's are only about 1/4" longer, the only thing that sticks out is the floorplate. It's what I keep as the "start load" for my briefcase-carry "Mk 18-ish", though I also keep a 40 mounted along one side of the handguard and another tucked into the brace.

Two questions... 1. do you have a rough build-plan already worked out and 2. does it need to be fireable right from the pack or can you spare the time to assemble a Cry Havoc QRB/GAU-5-type setup? My first thought if "unfold and fire" would be to take a quality 10.3-10.5" URG and partner with an A5 buffer and pistol brace on LAW sidefolder, if "slot in and twist ring" that lets you go to an 11.5 or a 12.5. Flash hider choices will be important too, I might suggest a short linear comp like a BRT Covert Comp on a ten-incher. Maybe throw an Acro or RMR on top--if it's gonna be knocked around the Acro might be better despite short battery life, though my preference would be something with folding caps to protect the lenses. (For an app like this, I wish somebody made a short front-sight that you could mount on top of a Lasermax Uni-Max on a top-rail...)

Don't take this as gospel, PLEASE doublecheck everything I say, but maybe it'll give you some ideas.

Looking for a good quality mil-spec upper receiver. I don’t want anything with any crazy logos, or any crazy machined cuts. Must have the dry film lubricant applied to the inside, and the T marks up top would be nice. Brands such as: Colt, BCM, Sionics, LMT.

Blemishes are usually tricky to find based on my own experiences and the reporting of greater inter webs population. Ymmv, but BCM.

These are a great option at good price and actually in stock. The fit tight on the barrel and are great
