You can order KAC A2 grips in FDE from Operation Parts for $15.00 plus shipping. Not that much over your budget.

Thanks, HM. I just found Primary Arms has one from Doublestar in Coyote for $8, too--not really a priority acquisition, just thinking to get something I can swap on when the obstacles clear so I can get into the game and trying to keep to the general guideline we have about "Tan=His, Green=Hers."

I want to find a good weapon cleaning kit. Found in the article an overview of different kits for cleaning weapons, but I think it might be worth buying all the tools separately. Is it cheaper or better to buy a set? I'm afraid that the set may contain some not very high-quality tools.

Sling & sling hardware for M16A4 clone?

I am not knowledgeable about the USMC setup but isn’t there a piece of webbing that goes over the buttstock to which the sling attaches? And what does the sling attach to on the front (rail) end?

Asking for a project I am working on for my older brother, who carried an A2 in USMC during the early 1980s. He has the FN clone of an A4 but no sling for it.

The most common for the buttstock when I was in was from a Specter 3 point sling, like this
    https://www.spectergear.com/ProductD...roductCode=004

these are the same idea, and sold seperately

    https://www.blueforcegear.com/m-16-b...k-adapter.html

The most common for the front end was either from that same Specter setup, or some paracorded contraption, usually either tied to the front sight base or looped between the barrel and the FSB.

These were common issue after I got out, as I understand

You can get them on ebay pretty cheap (I think I paid $12 shipped), or ACE makes a similar one for cheaper then BFG's retail

How close to accuracy does he want to go? I believe they issued 3 point and then 2 point (Eagle) slings. Specter Gear makes some close replicas (3pt) and some newer slide buckles styles as well.

Dr. Carter G. Woodson, “History shows that it does not matter who is in power or what revolutionary forces take over the government, those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they had in the beginning.”

Does anyone know where one could find some Speer 75gr Gold Dot (24469)?

It's been well over a year since I last bought some, I was hoping since ammo was slowly trickling back that maybe there was a good source for it, but I've had no luck so far.

Depending on time, I know they were issuing the BFG Vickers alongside the M16A4, because they were noted as an authorized component in Annual Rifle Training.

I check for Speer .223 on Ammoseek about weekly and the page has been blank for months, so no luck here either for any grain weight. Federal Fusion could be an alternative. https://ammoseek.com/ammo/223-remington?ikw=Fusion

If memory serves, Fusion and Gold Dot are the same projectile, just different powder and primer at most.
