Anybody have a line on sources for Takedown 10/22 or Charger receivers? I need a virgin receiver, can NOT be marked "Ruger 10/22" which means either OEM Ruger Charger or 3rd-party, that matches Ruger original top-surface contours since Brownells discontinued their no-rail BRN-22 Takedown receiver with one hand RIGHT as they were selling me a sight that requires it with the other.
Pike Arms/Tactical Innovations doesn't work, it's a flattop with none of the compound curves my BRN26 sight/rail is designed to mate to. Tactical Solutions' takedowns are all integral-rail and I could buy an entire factory Ruger Charger "just add ammo and shoot" for less. Volquartsen doesn't do Takedown and is a billet integral-rail like Pike. Anybody out in M4C Land know of any other leads, or is this a matter of "have my FFL call Ruger or wait for S&P or Wirthwein to break down another batch for part-out"?
Hmm... maybe if I have Dave call them I can have him ask about custom serials...

Anybody have a suggestion on levels for barrel-band iron sights? Trying to figure out how to ensure that a NoDak Spud NDS-23 for a Ruger 10/22 clocks vertical with no canting... right now about all I can think of is clamp the barrelled receiver upside-down into a vise by the rail, have the sight hang down from the inverted barrel and let gravity to the work as an interim step then have my pro smith tune it up after.
