I need a simple 2X-3X red dot / circle red dot optic that for a 5.56 and a .308

I've bought a few of the cheap models and although they work I don't know how long they will last. I don't mind spending $100 - $300 but getting above that takes a little decision making. If I have to buy 1 for each caliber this can get expensive.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

BCM has their A5 intermediate in stock if you haven't seen that. I prefer it over the vltor tubes.

Look at the Burris AR332. Fixed 3x and Paul Howe runs one and seems to like it.
