What's the best place to get a "Fat 50" PA108 S.A.W. ammo can, or whatever is shown in this photo:
Does anybody make a top-cover for lower receivers equivalent to the Bolt Saver for uppers?

Harbor Freight has .50's for 16.99, but I'm sure you can do better. I think Costco was less than that for a .50 with a .30 packed inside last time they had 'em.

I hope those are just for storing empties and spares... four full combat loads would get heavy REAL fast, 500 of Mk262 just in cardboard without mags ain't fun when you're old and out of shape.

The standard 50 can will not hold PMAGs vertically. An AR15com thread gave the weight of a full can (M193?) as about 38 pounds which seems manageable.
A little googling suggests we're looking for a "Tall .50," not a "Fat .50". M2A1 is 12x5.5x7, PA108 12x8.5x7. "Tall .50" is PA19, looks to be more commonly used for proximity fuses like M728. This link might be relevant for reference data:

Those are indeed FAT 50 cans, I use them for magazines too, stored vertically. Here's your best source for all sizes.

Great question. I'm not familiar with the Bolt Saver but I have a couple of the Raven Concealment Top Stop upper covers that work well.
I searched for an equivalent for a lower and found a shop on Etsy that offers one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/9175081...e_recs_3&frs=1
I also found this one: https://amaroktactical.com/ar15-lower-receiver-cover/

TopStop and Bolt Saver are similar concepts... wish I'd known about the TS first, it looks better executed. Thanks!

Amarok's looks almost exactly like what I was looking for, but I was hoping for an "uncocked" version to save stress on the springs. The Etsy topcover looks midway between the other two, but $22 shipped for a complete solution sounds pretty good other than having to dig out my can of Safety Orange Krylon.
