Looking for Magtech 77 grain 5.56. Part #556C. Need about 300-500 rounds. Can't seem to find it anywhere but I confirmed it's still in production. Not looking for an alternative... need this specific ammo...

I don't think they have made it since pre-covid. I'm sure it's on their books as still in production but that doesn't mean they have done a run in a while. I would contact G&R Tactical and SG Ammo (both big magtech dealers) and see if they know anyone that has a stash.

Anybody have a suggestion for sourcing beyond-further-use shot-out brass in bulk? I'm specifically looking for smelter bait because a few ladies around the gunshop (and even the craft store where I went shopping for other supplies) saw the pair of earrings I made for my closing-her-shop FFL and wanted pairs of their own, and it doesn't make sense to take the chopsaw to brass with useful life left in it.

Doesn't Wilson take custom orders? I not sure if Green Mountain does customs.

I’d just decide what barrel you want and then send to John Thomas to pin a FSB. That’s going to give you more options and likely still be cheaper than a custom barrel.

Agreed. He replied back to my email in 61 minutes today. Insane considering he’s also turned around uppers in the same day for me in the past.
