I know these have been discontinued for awhile now, but wondering if anyone knows of stores that still have NIB Eotech 551's laying around? I'm constantly checking auction sites, and forum classifieds, haven't seen any in a little while at least none that I find trustworthy. TIA

Most of them that i have found are the same prices as a completed lower. Have you found a good source to make it worth doing?

I'm in the same boat. Too expensive to make it worth it.

I just recently heard of this. I'm curious, what's the major upside/downside? I'm assuming these are subject to individual state laws? And aside from price, how feasable is it for the average guy to do this?

I visit the one here in Dallas quite often. Their prices and gear selection are the best in the metroplex. They are also the only place in my area that stocks Ranger T.

I can recommend two places in Indiana that both do very nice work. A friend of mine, Grunt Soldier, runs Custom Kydex...some people might know him from other forums. Not sure if either of them are 'ready to ship,' but they both do quality work and worthy of mentioning. Their turn around times would be much quicker than 45 days.
