    Noveske Based 10.5" SBR

well i FINALLY found a Gen II lower after hunting for one for over 3 months.

Filled out All my form 1 stuff today and going tomorrow to get fingerprints and run by local LEO for signature. Then it's "hurry up and wait"

    Parts list:
Lower Reciever - Noveske GEN 2
Lower Parts Kit - G&R Tactical LPK Option 2:
Buffer - H Buffer (after talking to Noveske i'm going to change to H2)
Buffer Spring - BCM SS Carbine Spring
    Receiver Extension - LMT
    Castle Nut - LMT
    Receiver Plate - Noveske QD
    Grip - Magpul MOE FDE
    Stock - Magpul CTR FDE

    Still need:
Upper - Noveske 10.5" Light Shorty w/ Switchblock
    BUIS - Troy BUIS
Optics - 2mil Aimpoint T1 on Larue quick mount

i think i'm going to do my engraving here since these have a built in trigger guard

Looks good so far. By the time I ready to start on NFA stuff their new NSR should be out so I'm thinking about that for my SBR.

How bout a Geissele trigger group?

Great rig (I have same one with a Gen I lower).... But you need a decent trigger group! Without it, you'll have a Ferrari on 15" wheels if you catch my drift...

Sweet lower! I'm building my SBR now and would like to get a Noveske Gen 2 lower as well. I have a 10.5" Noveske CQB barrel/Rainier Arms upper with a Troy/VTAC TRX Extreme rail system ready to go.

What are you using for a flash suppressor/muzzle brake?

    ......Ugh.

Edit: Great start for your build. Your trigger is fine and you could spend the money on far more important things before you blow it on unnecessary upgrades like that.

Pics of from my iPhone 4s lol!

Thanks for the compliments. I do plan on upgrading the trigger down the road but want to actually FEEL some before Doing so because I can't decide between a single or two stage upgrade.

That will be something that is done once the rifle is finished and been in use a bit!

Question to the OP. What is going to be your total cost if you don't mind me asking? The reason why is that I purchased a complete Noveske 10.5" with SB and was wondering if your route would have been less expensive.

i have $554 in the complete lower including one windowed magpul mag.

upper is going to be $13XX plus engraving

    BUIS -200 ish

2000 ish total.... compared to same options in a new noveske rifle

and i wanted all FDE furniture and didnt want to mess with selling the black stuff to turn around and buy FDE (at some loss more than likely)

That's kinda the route I went, although I'm keeping the black stuff, for now at least.
