Erick is correct.. there are first hand accounts by a real deal SOF "associate"who has seen these fail in the field causing the death of some comrades.

NO true professional would use these in any environment other then plinking out back on a Sat afternoon.

They will not withstand being dropped on a hard deck fully loaded. and anything that needs a Graphite Lube to make work should tell you it's not ready for hard field use. The also add a shit load of weight onto the gun.

I owned a 75 rd Steel AK drum long time ago.. I can count the number of times on one hand that I actually loaded it up and fired it..My ammo and range time is way to precious to waste blowing ammo thru one of these.. but hey.. if you get a good deal and want a toy..

I also laugh at all the guys who bought them with the same thought process in mind that are now stuck with them cause no one will pay the price there asking...
Harv, as usual, summed it up nicely. They are toys. Mine have been nothing but reliable at the range...no mud, blood, rain or whatever and properly lubed. They rattle when full and weigh a ton. I would not bet my life on them given the review by professionals whom opinions I hold in the highest regard.

And, God as my witness, a 150 round version is on the way.

They do, however, make EXCELLENT stands for your rifle when taking pics.

I've got one. Its fun. A toy like everyone else says. It could have uses for prone shooting in combat, but I wouldn't want to deal with it up close. In my Bushmaster it has been almost 100% over the times I've used it. In my Colt, not so much. I can only get through about 10 rounds or so before it will fail to feed. Not sure if that was specifically an ammunition issue with the mag and the Colt or what.

If you've got the money they are entertaining enough to warrant the purchase. But for practical situations I'd avoid them.
