Pretty much +1 to this. It's currently the best bang for the buck out there (soon).

    - True 1-6x magnification
    - Daytime visible illumination
    - Very Clear optics
    - Solid Construction
    - Priced at just under $1k

I was curious about the 1-6 VX-6 from Leupold its $100 less than the SWFA 1-6 in the illuminated version, and if SWFA website is correct its 6 or so ounces lighter.

I will gladly pay the extra $100 for the better glass, better reticle, FFP, durability and matching mil/mil setup that you get with the SWFA. Also you get true weather proof exposed turrets and included are screw-on covers if you prefer that setup so they don't get bumped. But the SWFA 1-6 will be closer to $1000.. not $700.. just my guess.

I need to look at the reticles as I have not done so. Regards better glass and durability did you do a side by side test, or can you forward a link regards someone who has done this test? Where is the SWFA scope manufactured?
