    Savage/Stevens 350 Security 12ga Pump

Savage/Stevens 350 Security 12ga Pump with Synthetic stock/forearm and Ghost ring sights.

This pump reminds me of the old Ithaca model 37 bottom eject which was a good pump shotgun in its day. I did notice that the 350 has twin action bars were the Ithaca had only a single bar.

    $190.50 OTD

Very good sights, action is smooth and no binding felt, she is all steel with the only thing not being the synthetic stocks.

Anyone else have any experience with this gun?

Edited to add the above picture is of a 4+1 early version and all recent manufacture have extended +1 tubes.

(*)Please don't make this a (Get a 870 and be done with it thread) just looking for others with opinions on this gun.

Where is it manufactured? It looks like one of the ChiCom knockoffs that were decent shotguns for the money.

Nothing stamped on the gun or printed in the manual or box of were the parts were manufactured or assembled.

It could be of Chinese manufacture but I have not seen a single flaw in finish or workmanship so is must have been a good day at the Chi-Com factory.

Hell for $190.50 OTD for a new purpose built shotgun with decent sights if it functions as expected these could be a decent poor mans H/D, SHTF gun. Plus its a Savage so one knows there will be excellent customer service should the need a rise.

No first hand experience, but manufactured by Sun City Machinery LTD in PRC from what I understand. Unsure if Sun City is affiliated with Norinco or Hawk. Seen some writeups on other sites.

I did a search on them and it appears they make all sorts of gun parts for all the major firearm manufacturers.

As I said this shotgun has excellent fit and finish so I would say the 350 has been manufactured by a company with long time ties to the firearms industry and not some fly by night Chi-Com machine shop.

Going to pick another up if the 350 functions as expected.

Picked up a rifle sighted one a couple of months ago. For what little I've shot it, it worked perfectly. Fit and finish is good except on the sights. Biggest complaint is the extended tube and lack of stock compatibility with a Ithaca without somewhat extensive fitting.

Loaned this gun out to a good friend to shoot a Tactical match over at the club and after it was all over he wanted to buy the Savage do to the excellent patterns with Federal Flight Control buckshot and that the Federal slugs he was shooting were dead on.

But what he said really won him over was the Ghost ring sights and the bottom eject since he is a lefty shooter and did not have to worry about the empties bouncing off his face.

I'M going to let him keep shooting the gun at matches to allow the Savage to "Break In" and till he can afford his own.

I revived this thread just to say this Savage is a really decent H/D and training gun for those who have limited funds and it maybe worth their time to look it over.

Thank you for this Phila. I'd love to hear any future updates about the gun, especially if it's being put through its paces in a competitive setting.

I looked at these not long ago when I was in the market. I ended up with a Mossberg 590A1 but, I thought these seemed pretty nice for the money.

Honestly, I let the price scare me away. Maybe I'll get one anyway, just to have, especially if they seem to be holding up.

    Thanks for the update!!
