Pictures of Recce from High Caliber Sales (KJO)

I am about to place an order with HCS (KJO here on the forum) for a RECCE upper on a KAC SR15 lower.

His website is apparently down for now, and I am wanting to see some good pictures of the RECCE from HCS without the Ops Inc collar and brake on it. (or even with, for that matter)

I am likely going to order mine with just a bird cage on it and then decide what muzzle device I want down the road.

I dont think there are a ton of the HCS RECCE uppers out there, and I am really having a tough time finding good pictures of any of them. Especially with just a bird cage or similar muzzle device. Would be great to see any good pictures of an HCS RECCE, and even better to see some on a KAC SR15 lower with a bird cage FH.

    Can anyone help me out?

Congrats...Kevin, and the HCS Recce are a winning pair!

As a true student, and fan of the SPR program/rifles, Kevin/HCS have earned my respect to the nth degree.

Authenticity goes into every price tag @ HCS

The writeup on the old HCS website under the Recce page was quoted from a thread I started on here when the HCS Recce was initially released....pics can be found in that thread as well.

Kevin is a great guy to deal with.
I've never dealt with anybody so willing to help make sure his customers were getting exactly what they wanted.
He'll be doing some more builds for me as soon as funds allow.

This is the recce HCS put together for me.

I got mine yesterday. And yes, it looks great and Kevin is great to deal with.

I am perusing optics now. Really want a 2.5-10x24 NF, but will be a bit of a hassle. May get the 32mm.

I emailed Kevin to see if he sells mounts as well. May order from him.

I got the carbine and from Kevin very promptly, and then went ahead and ordered a NF 2.5-10x32 as well. Mounted that in a LaRue QD and am good to go.

I managed to get it to the range today but it was kind of packed due to a swap meet. I zeroed with 55 grain corbon and that was painless.

It actually shot the 55 grain stuff better than I thought it would. The plan was to the proceed to the 77 grain stuff, but with the crowds, I decided to pack it up and come back tomorrow morning.

    Optimistic.

Here is a picture of the HCS RECCE as well as a Spikes Tactical M4 that I just added a T1 to.

Kevin is indeed awesome to deal with. We spoke on the phone for a good 15-20 joking and planning a build. He's very flexible when it comes to customer tweaks, as he said, because we're the customers and we can do what we want. He'll be getting my money for a MK12 next week most likely.

As an aside, I went to ADCO first to support an Ohio business but I wasn't allowed to change rail options/order with no rail and I felt I was imposing by even asking them in the first place.

He has the NF rings, along with other mounts I believe. He also has the NXS 2.5-10x32 in stock. Ive been on the lookout for a x24 because I want the compact size but I can't find any. Most places I've checked don't even have the x32 in stock.

How are the URX 3 front sights? Do they lock in the up position? I am still heavily considering ordering a HCS recce upper.

They do lock in place. Something I am not that fond of.

As far as the HCS RECCE upper? DO IT.

Very well done, no expense spared. And customer service that is at the top of the field. Shoots great at extended range. Although I have only shot at 300.

I managed to acquire about 700 rounds of the real deal 5.56 mk262 and am going to stretch it out to 700 soon.
