What makes it so great? I've had a couple with crappy parts like mag catches or buttons that don't fit right.
Better materials? Different manufacturing process? Or just some vague "the trigger feels better"?

I think DD gets more credit here than some of their products deserve.

I believe it's due to the fact that there are less issues with them than many others. I put one in a psa lower and it went together fine. Not sure what's in the bcm lowers(hopefully grant can shed some light) but the function of those lowers are crisp, clean feeling, and ive lucked out cause the the triggers are some of the best gi triggers I've ever shot with. Something about those lowers screams quality

But for RRA and Stag the reviews are all over the place. Which LPK do you consider to be most reliable?

With the election season mania in full progress, many sites are out of LPKs. I would appreciate it if you could also point me to the right source.

    Thanks
i`ve used daniel defense and dpms lpk`s and both have been fine for me!

    .

I think it would be a benefit to all, if guys that post they "used 20 Cheaperthancrap LPK's and never had a problem" would also honestly add:
"I've got 3000+ rounds through each gun without a malfunction..."
    or
"I sell the rifles at a gun shows, so I never hear complaints..."
    or
"I never used the guns but the LPK's fit in the Lowers just fine..."
    or
"I put the LPK's in guns for friends and they shoot 30 rounds a year, so there hasn't been any problems..."
    or...???

To me, if you've used 20 LPK's, you're probably not the end user, so give some "real" feedback, so people can make accurate assumptions.
This ain't your local gun shop...quit blowing smoke like it is....please?

    But maybe it's just me...

You better hold your tongue unless you wanna get banned

I agree with you. I had one and the trigger/hammer was crappy. I compare it to the RRA's I've used in the past(Which I consider to be the worst) The best LPK I've had w/ FCG is a spikes. Clean/crisp trigger pull.

Its just you. I service what I sell and install, and 95% to those who have my back in SHTF and who I regularly shoot with, so if you could...please step away from the internets and into reality.

    Philistine!

Really though, how often do LPK parts fail?

Is it more about the ease of installation and proper alignment of parts more so than something actually breaking in them down the road?

    Right.

I have looked at, used or repaired most all the LPK's out there (LMT, Colt, BCM, DD, DPMS, RRA and crap that I cannot ID).

Can all of them work? Sure. Are all of them as good as one another? No.

I have a theory that if you have never owned anything that is better quality, you don't know that what you are currently using is crap. Ignorance is bliss as they say.
