Best place to get quality, waterproof 35mm film canisters?

You know the traditional black plastic 35mm camera film canisters with the gray rubberized-plastic lids? Those.

They can be handy for storing matches, tinder, or other important items you wouldn't want to get wet while camping or adventuring (or bugging out).

I did some looking into them in the past and found that there are a lot of low-quality knockoffs available that are NOT waterproof (loose lids that don't seal), so buyer beware.

If anyone has identified a source and received quality canisters from them, please share.

i have not found them to be too waterproof in my outdoor needs

a different item i have been using for years is plastic coin cylindrical containers. sold clean used at large coin shops

i use the .25/50- cent 1's top stoe all kinds of things
wrap sure fire spare bulbs in 1 . can hold 2 of the l.e.d.s
small parts
fishing stuff
small ar parts

a little auto gasket tape or duck tape and u are sealed up tight

If you know anyone who is a diabetic, the test strips for some testers come in a similar sized container. I have about 25 in a drawer when I need to store small stuff.

1) They are not completely waterproof as they are not particularly airtight.

2) Try your local camera store. Some people still use film and when they drop off exposed film for processing, they usually leave the canister.

These KEEP2GO travel tubes are pretty awesome waterproof containers they come in different sizes from ones that will fit 4 CR123 batteries to smaller ones will fit a couple matches, I've found that they will fit in the Molle strapping on most packs that I own and make it quick to get to. I have one for a small fishing kit, fire kit, spare batteries, one with aspirin, and another with Vaseline(various uses).

You can ask at the film processing centers at Walmart or the local pharmacy...if they have any they usually give them away.

To follow up on the earlier post, I picked up a couple of the Keep2Go containers and they are pretty handy. Haven't put them through any sort of formal testing or use trials but they feel pretty durable. Appreciate the recommendation.
